What is the production process of Tough cases?
We print our tough cases using film sublimation printing. Your design will be printed on a special film first, using sublimation inks. After that, the print is sublimated from the film to the product. We use a special film paper to print your design on. To be able to transfer a print from the film to a product using sublimation, we need two things: Heat and Pressure.
The first element is not so hard. To generate heat we need an oven. The second one is a bit more tricky. On flat products we can simply use a transfer press to sublimate products. For fully printed products, such as our Tough cases, this will not work. That’s why we use a special film that and vacuum to form it around the cases. The Tough cases are placed on top of specially formed molds in the oven. When everything is in position and the oven is 140 degrees, the vacuum pump makes sure that the print is formed around the case. Your design is kept in place firmly, because of the high vacuum pressure. The end-result is a fully printed Tough cases.
Glossy cases
All our tough cases have a glossy (shiny) finish. Your image will look vivid and like photo paper. Ideal if you for example want to print photos or are going for marble prints.
Printed around the edges
Because we use the vacuum printing technique to print on the Tough cases, we can print all around these. Every visible part will be printed, even the edges on the front. The print completely blends with the product, which gives it a spectacular result.
