Create a render to preview your design

A render is a realistic visualisation of one of your images on a product, shown in a scene and from a perspective. It lets you check how a design looks on the real product before you order it or publish it to your shop. You build a render from the Create render page.

Build your render step by step

The form reveals each step only once you've made the previous choice, so just work your way down:

  • Pick a product : first choose a product group , then the specific product within it.
  • Pick a scene : the setting your product appears in. Each scene shows an example thumbnail and a short description.
  • Pick a perspective : the camera angle. The output dimensions (in pixels) are shown beneath the grid.
  • Pick an image : choose the print image you want to see on the product.

Choose your print image

At the image step you can pick an existing image from your Library, or upload a new one on the spot. If your artwork isn't print-ready yet, read How to make your artwork ready for print first. A render is only as accurate as the image you feed it.

Generate and view the result

Press Create mockup to start. We generate the render in the background, so you don't have to wait on the page. You're taken straight to the render's detail view. While it's working the status shows as pending; refresh to see when it flips to completed. From there you can download the full-size image, or re-render if you've changed something.

If a render comes back marked outdated, the underlying product or scene has changed since it was made. Use View latest version on the detail page to jump to the current render.
