A new BRM laser cutter for tooling and engraving

This week a BRM Pro 900 laser cutter was installed in our production facility. It is a CO2 laser with a 900 x 600 mm work area that cuts and engraves wood, acrylic, leather, textiles, and many other materials. It is a welcome addition to our machine park, and it started earning its keep on day one.

The main reason we bought this machine is tooling. Our production floor runs on jigs and fixtures that hold products in exactly the right position for printing and assembly. Until now we had to order those parts externally and wait for delivery. With the laser cutter we design a jig, cut it, and have it on the production line the same day. That makes it much faster to improve our processes and to get new products production-ready.
