What is the production process of fully printed snap cases?
Fully printed cases are printed using a sublimation printing technique. This is an indirect way of printing: first, your design will be printed on a special film using sublimation inks. Secondly, the print is sublimated from the film on the snap case. We use special sublimation vacuum machines to ensure that the cases are printed around the edges. This sublimation equipment is using high temperature and pressure to transfer your image on the case.
The cases are placed on top of specially formed moulds in the sublimation vacuum machine. Afterwards the film containing the prints is aligned above the products. When everything is in position, the vacuum process starts. Thanks to the high temperature and vacuum-pressure the film melts around the snap cases. The inks will become liquid and transfer into the coating of the snap case.
Glossy cases
If you’re looking for a vivid, high resolution finish, we recommend our glossy snap cases. The surface will probably remind you of a printed picture on photo paper: smooth and shiny.
Printed around the edges
Because we are using our special vacuum technique to print these snap cases, we can print around the edges as well. Every visible part will be printed, even the edges at the front.
